Every minute of my stay was amazing. You won’t find a better host than Javed and a better staff than the one at the lodge. I was treated like family and it made my solo trip so much better than I had expected.

“Affordable and comfortable stay in central Skardu”
The location was great, close to many restaurants and shops. Javed, the owner, was very helpful, caring, and spoke excellent English. I stayed for several days while recovering from food poisoning, and he offered to take me to the hospital. The shower always had hot water, which was a big plus. The beds weren’t the most comfortable but were decent, the rooms were overall very nice, though sometimes very hot in the afternoon depending on the weather. Wi‑Fi was just okay, as power cuts happened fairly often.
“Basecamp for the Backpackers”
This place is the best budget option in Skardu. Javed and his assistant Shabbir are super kind and go above and beyond to make sure you have everything. The room was quiet and offered a lovely garden view. When I needed to buy something but no store was open, Javed personally drove me in his car. He also arranged a shared taxi to Gilgit for my departure. I’ll keep recommending it to other travelers and plan to come back next time I’m in Skardu. It’s also safe for solo female travelers, and Javed offers day tours tailored to foreign guests, which is a big plus!
