Hanoi Backpackers Lodge

The room was very noisy and had insects in the bed.

“The worst experience I've ever had.”

I was almost late for my flight because the laundry never arrived on time; I handed my clothes in, heard they'd be ready the next day, yet by the third day nothing showed up, and the staff even returned someone else’s items once. The price I saw was 330,480 VND but I ended up paying 410,000 VND, with no clear explanation for the extra cost. The bathroom was dirty, and the hostel’s location on a busy street meant constant traffic noise, especially at night. Even though the staff tried to resolve the laundry issue, the overall service, cleanliness, and pricing fell short of what I expected.

“Très pratique et bon rapport qualité prix”

The hostel was very convenient and well‑located, and I appreciated not having a bunk bed but a private cabin instead. The beds were spacious, the common areas were functional, and the lockers were lockable. However, the common areas weren’t very clean.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and booking multiple nights was easy. The price was fantastic and the rooms were fairly isolated from other guests even in the dorm. The AC worked well and there were fans by the beds. The location was great and it was convenient even if you arrive at night. The toilets were just okay, but soap and toilet paper were available.

The location was excellent and the price was very low. The photos were misleading; we didn’t have a window in our room, there were cockroaches in the bathroom, and overall the hostel was very dirty.
