The staff were friendly and helpful, the bed was very comfortable, and the old‑world charm added to the experience. The hotel faces a beautiful park, and parking was available with no issues, though there were only a few spots. Homemade marmalade was served at breakfast. The coffee could have been better.

Phil and Christine, the owners, are excellent hosts and always ready to help or answer questions. Annabella in the breakfast dining room is always cheerful when serving. The breakfast selection is more than enough to start the day, offering tasty ham and cheese or fruit and cheese, plus the usual fare. Rolling Stones fans will love the impressive collection of photographs and memorabilia in the bar. Nothing to dislike.

The English‑style authenticity shone with breakfast served at the table, and the breakfast box was carefully prepared to fit our early ferry departure. The room was a bit too bright at night because of city lighting.

The staff were amazing and helpful, letting me store my 2016 Harley Davidson Street Glide CVO in white with black and amethyst flames in their garage.
