“This is a well run hostel with attentive staff, comfortable rooms, and relaxing greenery.”

The property was lush and beautifully decorated, offering a relaxing setting after a long day exploring Oaxaca; the staff were attentive and helpful, but the bathroom sink had a sewage smell and the windows had no netting, letting a lot of mosquitoes into our room.

The old, renovated building had nice common areas, a well‑furnished kitchen, a friendly bar, an indoor courtyard, a gym, a living room with a projector and TV, a pool, and newly furnished rooms. However, the price was high for a hostel, the bathroom had a bad odor, the sliding door between the bathroom and bedroom was wobbly, the windows couldn’t close properly and lacked mosquito nets, the only window faced the hallway and was frosted—giving a windowless feel, and the mattresses had plastic covers.

The hotel sits just 5 minutes from the city centre, the room was clean and the bathroom worked fine. The rooftop bar was pleasant and the pool was nice. However, the room felt a bit damp and there were some ants. Reception staff performance varied; some were helpful while others left us in trouble, like when a taxi to the airport wasn’t booked even after we asked twice for confirmation.
