Pazo da Touza

“Entorno precioso.”

The Pazo is a beautiful, well-kept venue, perfect for weddings, parties, and events, with a meticulously tended garden. It has only a few rooms, so if you’re there for a wedding you can only sleep and have breakfast. Breakfast was served late, at 9 am, so when we left early we missed it. It was hard to find anything nearby for coffee. The single room was simple but adequate and clean, suitable for one night. The staff were very friendly. The only downside was the breakfast timing.

Reality surpassed my expectations; standing in this pazo was simply perfect! Highly recommended, and the garden is absolutely stunning!

The palace and gardens look beautiful, the suite is very roomy with a comfortable, well-equipped bathroom, complimentary water and coffee at discretion, and the receptionist is friendly and helpful. The downside is the noise: the wooden floor in the suite is worn in one area and creaks so much that if you get up at night for the bathroom you wake your partner; the footsteps and chair movements in the upper rooms at night; and the chatter from business meetings held in the lounge that leads to the suite.

The hotel is lovely, great value, and the garden is stunning. The breakfast was good, with pastries, bread, and cold cuts, but I would have liked more savory options. In my room there was an emergency sign with a green light that illuminated too brightly at night.
