“Great staff - rooms need a real upgrade”

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location was quiet. However, the room lacked an ensuite, so I had to walk across the landing to reach the toilet. The bathroom was not very clean, especially the shower, and the room itself felt rundown and in need of a lot of attention.

“A great spot with a very warm welcome”

We found the location perfect—just a walk from Southmead hospital and right across from the green space of the common. The staff welcomed us warmly, and our one‑night stay was well suited to our needs: the room was a good size, had windows that opened, a ceiling fan, and a large double bed that was very comfortable. The room came with tea, milk, coffee bags, a kettle, cereal bars, and a microwave on the landing for convenience. We were aware breakfast wasn’t offered, but leaving early in the morning made that irrelevant. We’d definitely come back. Minor annoyances included the bathroom door not staying shut when the window was open for fresh air, a glass shelf above the sink that was in the way, and the lack of a small lamp near the cups and kettle for early‑morning tea.

“Great Location Friendly Pub :)”

The pub was lovely, the staff were polite, and the room was clean. Nothing else to add.
