Sahara House

The location was fantastic, and Hassan was very friendly and attentive. From the Sahara House you can easily explore Merzouga and walk through the gardens into the center. Hassan also arranged an interesting day tour into the Sahara, to the nomads and the Gnawwa, etc. Highly recommended :)

Hassan is an absolutely amazing guy. He picked us up in Errachidia and took care of everything we needed. He drove us to a beautiful place where we spent many great days. Hassan was always there when we needed him. We also booked a quad tour and everything worked out wonderfully. Hassan is a great, funny man and we felt very welcome. We would definitely come back.

Sahara House was such a comfortable place to stay. Hassan made us feel very welcome and at home by taking us to dinner after our late arrival, organizing our Sahara tour, and being very flexible by letting us use the facilities and space even after check‑out time. We would definitely recommend it!

“Nuestra estancia y experiencia con Hassan maravillosa recomendado”

The accommodation is perfect in the village where you can see local life; the guys who work there are wonderful, especially Hassan, whom we have a lot to thank. We had an experience with him in the desert (don’t just stay in the village; with him you get a true Berber experience, immersed in the culture, and you’ll see the vastness of the dunes). If you have many days, do a trek, plan the days with him— the desert has many plans and many things to do, better than staying in the city. Take advantage and fill your heart with good things from Hassan; he will become your friend and family in a few days and you won’t want to say goodbye. A hug to Hassan for this experience that we carry in our hearts forever.

“Wonderful place, even better host.”

Sahara House is the place to stay before heading into the desert. Breakfast was delicious, the host welcomed us for tea the moment we arrived and was super communicative over WhatsApp. It’s located outside the main center of Merzouga, so I’d recommend it only if you have a car to get food, or it would be quite the walk. If I had to be picky, the beds are quite hard, and the Wi‑Fi is quite slow… but you’re on the edge of the desert, so what can you expect?
