The location was fine, but I had to ring the front desk six times before someone answered. They told me the wrong way to unlock the room door, and when I finally got in the room smelled overwhelmingly of bleach; the scent even seeped through the floorboards.

A short stay worked out great: the bed was comfy and the walk to the city centre was short. Nothing to add.

My friend and I booked a twin room for an overnight visit to York. We were able to drop our bags, park our car, and were greeted by a friendly, helpful lady who was preparing our room. The hotel is budget‑friendly with clean rooms, and it was suitable for our needs. Tea, coffee, a fridge, and a bottle of water by the beds were provided. The hotel is quiet, well‑located, and gives easy access to the city centre. No complaints, and we’d stay again.

The hotel was spotless and cozy, with a kettle and a mini fridge in the room that made a big difference, and the staff were super helpful, handing me a power adapter so I could charge my phone; the TV worked fine and overall everything was in good shape, but the shower had a slightly unpleasant odor and everything feels a bit dated.
