“Very cozy and clean.”
The room was lovely, clean, and had good facilities. The TV was a bit hard to operate, so clearer instructions would help, but we managed.
“Home away from home”
The room was cozy and well appointed in a beautiful location. Fi gave us great hiking tips and let us borrow DVDs and board games. I wish we had booked more nights; it was truly a slice of paradise.
The motel offered cabin‑style units that were very comfortable and roomy, complete with a fully stocked kitchenette, a plush queen bed, a sofa and a small two‑person table in the common area, plus a separate room with two twin beds. It was within walking distance of the main restaurants and shops in Arthur’s Pass village. What really impressed me was the host Pete, who greeted us warmly and explained the best nearby hikes and how to walk to the village from the motel. In the welcome binder, he and his wife Fi shared their story of how they came to own and run the place, which felt like a personal touch. The only drawback was the occasional freight trains passing by, even at night, but that didn’t spoil the overall experience, and I would still recommend it.
The camera was spacious and fully equipped. Nothing else to add.
“Excellent value for money”
