The room included a fridge. It felt more like a motel with a tiny bathroom; the hot‑water tap squealed loudly. In room 10 we asked maintenance to check it, they said it was fine if you held it up, but it never got fixed. The noise was scary and the neighbors could hear it too.

The place sits in a good spot, but the room was only decent, with good beds and pillows. There are no elevators, everything feels outdated, and the shower is poor—using the old fixtures was a nightmare.

The food and service at The Lakeside restaurant were solid, yet our room was a disaster: it smelled awful, had broken plaster, mouldy tiles, damp carpet, a ripped screen door, and cobwebs in the wall corner. We were excited to stay here but left disappointed and won’t return or recommend it.

The grounds were beautiful and well maintained, but the keys were so small they were easy to lose; a larger key or key cards would have been better.
