Located 1.5 km from the Rhine, Gasthof Krancher sits on a vineyard overlooking Rüdesheim’s historic town. The five‑generation family‑run inn offers classically furnished rooms with private baths, TV, and some views of St. Hildegard Abbey. Guests dine on regional Rhineland specialties, enjoy house‑produced Riesling and Pinot Noir, rent bikes, and shop at the Vinarium. Free parking, 50 min from Frankfurt.

We liked our time at Krancher; breakfast was tasty, housekeeping excellent, and the lady at reception was always very friendly; it’s just a short walk to downtown and Drosselgasse, though parking was a bit tricky, which is normal in Germany.
