Clean. I would not recommend this accommodation to women traveling alone. During my stay, I personally felt uncomfortable with the atmosphere and the way the household was managed. It is a very religious Muslim household, with prayers taking place several times a day. I respect everyone’s right to practise their religion, but as a guest, I did not feel that the environment was particularly welcoming or comfortable for someone with different beliefs. I also noticed that the women in the household appeared to have very limited interaction with guests, while the men seemed to have significant control over the household. On several occasions, when I went to my car to collect something, a man came downstairs and appeared to monitor what I was doing. I found this uncomfortable and intrusive. There was also only one bathroom shared by several rooms, which was inconvenient. The kitchen was frequently being used for cooking, and strong food smells were present throughout the house. On my final night, I woke up at around 5 a.m. because of a woman shouting, which was very disturbing. Overall, I did not feel relaxed or comfortable staying here as a woman traveling alone. I respect that every household has its own religious and cultural practices, but I believe guests should be aware of the environment and living arrangements before booking. Based on my personal experience, I would not choose to stay here again or recommend it to women traveling alone.
