The older restored building sits in a central spot, and the lobby and restaurant décor is very tasteful. The outdoor dining area is lovely, and there are plenty of comfortable spots to relax around the hotel. The staff were friendly.
“Buen boitique hotel en la zona de Bohinj.”
The design, garden, lobby, and hotel size are all pleasing, but parking is scarce even though another spot is relatively close; we couldn’t dine at the restaurant because Mondays it’s closed, and our room turned out to be too small.
The bed was very comfortable and the location was excellent; the staff were outstanding and breakfast was great, but the pool needed a clean, parking is hit or miss though alternative parking is only 100 meters away, so that’s not a big deal.
“Charming boutique hotel, which is a great stepping stone to both Lake Bled & Lake Bohinj”
A charming boutique hotel a few kilometres from Lake Bohinj offers a modern feel inside an old building and is very peaceful; the restaurant is lovely, and we had breakfast there every morning and ate there several nights, enjoying the great food while sitting outside next to the little river that runs alongside the hotel—a real treat. Our compact room had a comfortable bed, a good bathroom, and air conditioning that coped well during the heatwave. Bohinjska Bistrica is a good stepping‑off point, roughly midway between Lake Bohinj and Lake Bled; we took the bus into Bohinj rather than driving because parking at the lake can be tight during high season and the buses run frequently. Once you’ve worked out the app, they’re easy to hop on and off. The town itself is convenient and nice, with a delicious bakery at the bus stop, plenty of other good restaurants, some nice bars, and a big supermarket that’s handy. It’s also a stop on the car train to the Soča Valley, something we’d do next time. The team made us very welcome, and we particularly enjoyed getting to know Natalia and Davor, who were lovely. We look forward to coming back. We loved our stay.
“Serene and elegant hotel near Lake Bohinj”
Very stylish and elegant, the hotel was surprisingly quiet and peaceful in August. I loved the garden and pool to relax by, and hearing the babbling brook felt very serene. The staff were very attentive and friendly, giving lots of great info on nearby things to do. My room was an okay size for a solo stay, very clean and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were great, and parking outside was very handy. My room was on the ground floor right next to the bar and lift, so I was worried about noise, but it wasn’t a problem. It would have been nice to have different pillow types, as all were soft and I prefer a firm pillow. A tea/coffee making facility in the room would have been useful, and the hair dryer was not great. It was disappointing that the spa was an extra cost and had limited booking options that didn’t fit my plans.
