“Muito ruim, não voltaremos.”
We only stayed half the reservation; the place is pretty but poorly managed. The lodge is nothing like the photos, the water was green and looked dirty, the room was very hot and the air‑conditioning didn’t work. The food was bad and expensive—a simple scrambled egg cost R$ 18,00; it was only lowered after I asked. There was a power outage and no generator. I had booked for two days, but after seeing the lack of facilities and because I had a small child, I requested to stay only one day and cancel the second at no cost. I was told to speak with Joyce, the secretary. When I asked to cancel, she said she didn’t know if there would be a charge. I explained that I’m a lawyer and I’m not obliged to stay in a place that doesn’t provide adequate conditions. Still, she was quite arrogant in her service. Breakfast was only decent, with little variety. At night the place was quiet, with no leisure options. The lodge needs major improvements in structure, service, and quality.
