Check‑in and check‑out were smooth. I was a bit confused because there were two keys, but otherwise nothing else.

As soon as you step out of the hotel you can see Tosu Station. A local train takes you to Hakata in Fukuoka in just 20‑30 minutes, and the nearest Shinkansen station is one stop away. Convenience stores, restaurants, and a large shopping mall are nearby. The room was tidy and the bathroom the biggest I’ve seen in Japan, with separate toilet and shower areas. The lobby offers free razors, Q‑tips, shower gel, and more, and there’s a vending machine with drinks and snacks in the kitchen/dining area, handy for laundry change.

The place is quiet and the toilet and shower are separate, which I liked. Because it’s unmanned, people who aren’t used to the internet or email might find it tricky. You receive a QR code before arrival, check‑in with the QR and a signature, and at the end the room number and door‑unlock pass appear on the screen—just remember to take a photo. The first time, the instructions can be confusing, so you might feel a bit lost.
