The Lamplighter Inn & Suites at SDSU features an outdoor pool, game room, and free Wi-Fi. Guest rooms offer DVD players, cable TV with HBO, refrigerators, and some include microwaves. A free continental breakfast is served from 6:00 am-10:00 am. Poolside barbecue grills and ironing facilities are available. Located near San Diego State University, San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, and San Diego International Airport.

The room was large, the breakfast was good, and the bed was pretty comfy. It was about a 20‑25 minute walk to the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theater, where I went to attend a concert. The TV had cable for 15 minutes and then no more; only useless on‑demand content was available afterwards.

The swimming pool was a highlight, though the absence of a lift was inconvenient.

The hotel’s location is perfect for SDSU events and it’s kept in good shape; the breakfast was excellent and the rooms stayed spotless. This is my third visit and each one has been great. The only downside was that it felt a bit pricey.
