“Unique place…”
The room was huge and bright, with comfortable beds, each fitted with privacy curtains and a personal reading light overhead, plus a big fridge. With only six hostel guests, there are three toilets, secure lockers for belongings, and a door that opens directly to a small garden where you can enjoy coffee while watching the lively activity of wild birds. The location is excellent—just a seven‑minute walk from the train station and town centre, with plenty of large supermarkets nearby. This hostel has its own character; it’s not a sterile white room that feels like a hospital. The spacious common area features an interesting clock, a very unusual antique stove, and a unique heating system. It’s not a place where everything is brand new and shiny, but rather a place that values its heritage, cares about the environment, and offers a sense of stability and authenticity. Don’t be put off by Frank’s questions and his rules—he’s a friendly guy who cares about his place but expresses it in an unusual way. The hostel is worth every penny. I wish there would be a microwave.
