The manager was great – you could call and he answered immediately. The cleaning staff were terrible; they never brought fresh towels or rags and never cleaned the used ones. The air conditioning broke, so it got pretty hot.

“Clean and convienient location , but not a good value for the amount paid”

The place is conveniently located on the water at the south end of the island, right next to a restaurant that sells fried standard island fare and cold beer. There was live music the night I stayed. I paid $150 for a very clean old‑school motel room on the second floor during the shoulder season in September. The fixtures were 30 years old and the bed mattress had a bargain‑level comfort where you could feel the springs. The chairs were the same ones from an old high school library with no table.

“Relaxing stay in a chill part of the NC coast welcomed by incredibly friendly staff”

There is no breakfast offered. I would have preferred a larger (queen sized) bed - but that's no big deal, we were given what we requested

“Overpriced and disappointing”

The front desk guy was friendly and the spot was convenient, but the price was outrageous—like a budget motel that charges three times the usual rate. The bed was uncomfortable, the bathroom was subpar, and the room carried a strong smoke odor. Overall, very let‑down.
