The location is very good, with two bus stops in both directions (Amalfi and Castellammare di Stabia) less than 100 m away. It’s very quiet. There’s a large terrace in front of the room of more than 25 m² (though unusable in November). Across the street is a small supermarket and a bistro‑bar less than 100 m away. The nearest viewpoint over the Amalfi coast is just over 500 m away. There is no Wi‑Fi, even though it’s listed. The heating was supposedly included in the price, yet it was only turned on in the mornings, evenings, and sometimes for about an hour at noon! My note that the heating was promised in the description was outright denied by the host, who continued to refuse full heating. Only the tourist tax (7 × 1.50 €) was waived (he also claimed it actually applies to all 11 nights, though he knew it was limited to the first 7). The site sits at about 640 hm, so it was already very cool in November and the sleeping area never rose above 17 °C, averaging roughly 15–16 °C; the bathroom was a bit warmer. Because the price was so low, I let it slide, but it was unacceptable! Initially everything was clean, but during the 11 days nothing was cleaned, and towels and shower towels were never changed. For a guest, even at such low prices, this is not to be expected; I’ve never experienced this before, not even in the cheapest hostels, and I travel a lot! I never saw the host. Note: there is no air conditioning.

The place is the perfect base for the famed Path of the Gods trail, next to the bus station for Amalfi or Napoli. There’s a small market nearby. It’s a very clean, simple, basic accommodation. I had very good communication with Rosaria, the owner, who helped me with early check‑in and late check‑out free of charge. There was no heater or air‑conditioning unit (cold night in October, rainy day, even I’m used to cold weather). There were no windows. It was hard to close the door when leaving because there was no exterior handle.

When we arrived, the lady told us that it had frozen the night before and the radiators were off; the wet tiles hadn’t dried at all. After I sent her one message, she said the radiators would turn on and then shut off at 21 h, and the heater only worked halfway. We spent the evening in the showers – toilets where it was warmer. The room was large but never heated. I strongly advise against staying in winter unless the room is properly warmed!

The place is great, but it feels like it’s missing a fan or an air‑conditioner, so it’s very hot to sleep.
