“Teleurstellend”

The hotel itself is pretty and well kept. The breakfast was generous and varied. Our room was neatly renovated. The village where the hotel sits is probably the ugliest in the area and offers nothing to do. Despite being a wellness hotel, there were no treatments available during the holiday period, which makes the price/quality feel off. The evening restaurant was in an old building: gloomy, cramped, and the menu was classic German (lots of meat and fat). For a wellness hotel you’d expect healthier, more varied options for dinner (they were present at breakfast). The reception staff were not friendly either.

“Erholsam, harmonisch”

Because of the high number of guests and staff sickness in the kitchen, the food and restaurant experience weren’t as impressive as our first visit. Not a big deal.

“Fijn hotel, maar stevig aan de prijs”

Nice hotel in a beautiful countryside setting, spacious and clean room, great view of the park side, best breakfast ever – very extensive with all fresh items. The hotel also has a pleasant indoor pool and a typical German restaurant with a solid menu and good food. The staff are especially friendly, skilled, and solution‑oriented. The room price is steep if you don’t use the facilities like yoga or aqua jogging… For about 400 euros a night (with Booking Genius discount!), you’d also expect air‑conditioning in the room and a bath instead of just a shower, but that’s personal. After dinner a drink at the bar isn’t very lively – we were the only guests and no one was behind the bar. Also, the reception isn’t open 24/7.
