The Hotel Hohenstauffen, a family-run hotel for 100 years, offers a tranquil retreat a 15-minute walk from Salzburg's old town. Traditional bedrooms feature hand-crafted furnishings, classic drapes, and floral prints. A rich breakfast buffet is served in a beamed-ceiling breakfast room. Located near restaurants, cafes, and the train station, it's a short walk to the Convention Centre, Exhibition Centre, and Mirabell Gardens, with free public area WiFi.

The staff were extremely friendly, and the overall style and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel were excellent.

The staff and the hotel manager were so warm and welcoming, which is what you hope for. The hotel has been lovingly preserved in an old‑style décor that makes you feel transported to a long‑forgotten era. Each room is uniquely decorated, with flower‑patterned wallpaper matching the curtains, a sky‑bed room in a matching green tone, and bathrooms that are up to modern standards, creating a truly comfortable atmosphere. We stayed here at the start and end of our Alpe Adria bike tour and were greeted like regular guests the second time 😍 The hotel is right next to the train station, and bicycles can be stored safely in the garage. We’ll definitely return.

The lady was very friendly, immediately helped me park my motorcycle safely and handed me a free public transport voucher; the building is very cozy and the buffet breakfast is plentiful. Walking, the historic centre is 15 minutes away, passing a lovely garden. I’m satisfied.
