The hotel lies just a four‑minute walk from Santa Domenica Beach, near the Sanctuary of Santa Maria dell’Isola, Tropea Marina, and Capo Vaticano Lighthouse.

The only positives were the large, spacious shower and the convenient location near the train station. The bed was very uncomfortable – I kept sinking into the mattress, making it hard to sleep. There is no Wi‑Fi at the property, which I didn’t see when booking but I mention it for future guests. There is no reception, so you can’t just arrive and get keys; you must contact the host beforehand and set a specific arrival time for someone to meet you and hand over the keys, which can be inconvenient if your arrival changes or transport is delayed.

The room and bathroom were very clean, the furniture was new, the closet was decent size, the A/C worked well even without the keycard, towels smelled fresh, and there was free parking inside the property behind closed gates. The host was welcoming, although they only spoke Italian (we used a translator app). The mattress was horrible – we could feel every spring along our spine, unsure if it was a waterbed or a trampoline (j/k). I’d suggest the host invest in a decent mattress, otherwise there will be many more unhappy guests. There is no Wi‑Fi at all, no coffee in the room, but a café/ice‑cream place opens at 7:15 am on weekdays around the corner (closed on weekends).

The place is great, with a balcony that’s handy for drying swimsuits and beach towels, and the cleaning was decent. However, the building feels a bit rundown, and trash bags are always in front of the main entrance. The two rooms in the B&B are very close together, so everything is audible. The room and bathroom are tiny, the mattresses are uncomfortable and noisy, and the bathroom lacks attention to detail; overall, the value for money is poor.

I wouldn’t recommend this room! It’s very small, the mattress is already in need of disposal because you can’t sleep on one side. There are no amenities in the room at all, from a door that doesn’t close properly and a broken handle to a bad mattress.
