The reception staff were fantastic, friendly, and helpful. Being forced to pay for a second cup of tea or coffee at breakfast feels petty, and there was no lactose‑free option at lunch in restaurant Plan 6, so we had to go elsewhere.

“Bellissimo soggiorno a Ioannina”

We arrived at SAZ Hotel late at night and the receptionist greeted us perfectly, even waiting outside so we could unload our bags, and gave clear directions to the very convenient garage just steps away. The room was spacious with a balcony offering a beautiful view, the breakfast was excellent and the location was wonderful—just a 10‑minute walk to the historic centre and the ferries to the island. No complaints at all.

“Πολύ ωραία διαμονή”

A nice hotel right in the centre of Ioannina with courteous staff and clean rooms, and the roof garden on the sixth floor is wonderful for coffee, a meal or an evening drink—we enjoyed a perfect cocktail. We had booked the breakfast package for 5:45 am, but the individual serving we received was a small juice, a cold toast, a slice of cake, a boiled egg and a pear; I understand the kitchen isn’t fully open at that hour, yet since breakfast is included I’d have liked a bit more—perhaps a coffee, a glass of milk, a toasted slice with butter. It felt odd to get everything in a paper bag.
