The staff were very kind, friendly and helpful, which was a definite highlight of our stay. The family room was spacious and comfortable, and the showers had good water pressure. Unfortunately, the food and drinks disappointed us; the meals were often lukewarm and the fries soggy. There was little variety for an all‑inclusive hotel, and the minibar in a four‑person room only had two packs of juice. Cocktails also cost extra, so the all‑inclusive package felt very limited. We ended up eating outside the hotel because the quality and selection were unsatisfactory. We’ve never experienced such a let‑down all‑inclusive concept before. The tablecloths weren’t changed between courses, which seemed unhygienic. Overall, the price‑quality ratio was far below expectations. In terms of room and hygiene, there were several issues: toothpaste was still in the cup and wasn’t clean; coffee cups were poorly cleaned and stuck together; the room often smelled like sewage; there was no option to get an extra blanket—only a thin one that was smaller than the double bed. The hotel was noisy, so we could hear other guests frequently. We also had to ask for toilet paper multiple times because it wasn’t refilled adequately. The pool was small and often shaded; there was an unpleasant odor around it that smelled like cat urine. The hotel is about a five‑minute walk from the beach, which is mainly pebbles. For four beach chairs and a parasol, we had to pay about 900 lira per day. There’s no all‑inclusive option on the beach. At Xperia Grand Bali, almost everything on the beach is paid for.
