From the moment we arrived, the personal service was friendly and welcoming.

The hot bath was nice, but I was very disappointed with the room—it didn’t match the photos, had no view from the window, and the bedroom and bathroom were extremely small, more like a B&B than a hotel. It felt overpriced and I would have preferred a more flexible breakfast option.

This place isn’t a boutique hotel, but it’s a very good B&B. The hosts and staff were great, and the location was excellent. The bed and room were comfortable. Breakfast quality was mixed: the full Scottish was average and a bit overcooked, while the porridge plus that my wife had was nice. The next day I had the porridge plus again and it was great—I’d have it again. The bedroom was small, the en‑suite was very small, and it was overpriced.

Breakfast was absolutely top notch; everything was piping hot and made with top‑quality ingredients cooked perfectly. We were told to ignore sat nav directions to find the hotel, yet we still struggled. This is by no means a complaint against Kenny and Lesley, who were the perfect hosts.
