I got an unbeatable 10/10 value for the commute to Manhattan; it’s only a 5‑minute walk to the train that goes straight to the WTC, making the trip faster and easier than many Brooklyn or Queens spots. The Newark area felt a little sketchy at first, but overall I felt safe. The price was a 10/10 deal, though the room was small and the extendable trundle’s second mattress doesn’t lift, so one person sleeps at floor level. The shared bathrooms were spotless and the neighbors were friendly and helpful. The only hiccup was the host forgetting to send the check‑in instructions at 2:00 PM as promised, so I waited about 30 minutes for the info. After that, everything ran smoothly, and I highly recommend it for budget travelers.
