The spot is spot on for checking out the area, and the crew was super friendly and helpful. The grounds looked gorgeous, and I couldn't have wanted a better stay.

We booked this place for a special occasion—my wife’s birthday—and had been looking forward to it. A few days before we were to arrive, my wife’s father died, so we called to ask for a refund or to shift the dates. She suggested we could come a week or two later and keep the dates open. The hotel said their policy didn’t allow a refund or a change, only a full cancellation and forfeiture of the money paid. I ended up traveling with my mother instead. Because I couldn’t be at my father‑in‑law’s funeral and would have lost the whole cost, it felt like a huge blow. The trip, meant to be a family celebration, was shadowed by loss and deep emotional distress. I get that hotels have policies, but a death is an exceptional situation where you’d expect at least a willingness to compromise. We weren’t just asking for a refund; rescheduling would have worked for us. It’s unclear why a hotel with such a rich history and atmosphere was so inflexible about human compassion. The beautiful location is memorable, but how guests are treated in a hard time leaves an even stronger impression. Unfortunately, that’s what made the memory bitter.

El chateau es fantástico y el personal es atento. La cena fuera es extraordinaria. La habitación está mal distribuida y decorada, muy mejorable. El servicio en la piscina es escaso.
