The host and staff were very friendly, the accommodation clean and comfortable, and the shared spaces excellent—everything was perfect. In the evening we sat in the common area to stargaze, and later relaxed with a beer inside the lodging; those memories will stay with me. The city of Frankfurt felt cramped, so we rushed in, but this was the most memorable city and lodging in Germany. The only small improvement would have been a mosquito net.

We rented both holiday apartments for our hiking trip in the Rhön and it was the perfect base for exploring Gersfeld and the surrounding area on foot. The apartments were well furnished, and the location was very appealing. The pleasant exchange with the host about hiking routes and the local flora also helped us feel very comfortable.
