“Basic clean stay in old town”

The host couple were very friendly and helpful, running a simple, tidy guesthouse right in the heart of Saigon’s backpacker district. They’re just off Bui Vien Street, but in a quieter side alley, so we slept without trouble. The room itself was clean but small and basic—there was a fridge and an old TV, but no kettle, cups, or cutlery for self‑catering. Like many old‑town stays, the stairs were a bit of a climb, but it could have been a touch nicer. We followed the host’s recommendation to book our two tours with “Kim Delta” tour operator, which turned out to be a huge let‑down. Honestly, this reflects a broader issue in Vietnam’s tourism industry; I’m not blaming the host. Finding authentic tours that avoid tourist traps is tough, and this one was not among the better options. Just FYI.

“Great location”

The location, large room, and balcony were great, but the bed was hard.

No lift for older guests, making it very hard to go up; they offered a free cancellation but didn’t charge.
