“Nice ryokan with beautiful onsen views”

This place really delivered on its promise of an authentic ryokan experience. The tatami room was a good size and the onsen was amazing, especially the outdoor one with its stunning view. We were also super close to the ski resort, which was a major plus. However, the breakfast situation was a bit of a letdown - it wasn't included in the price and the options could have been better, but at least we had a choice between western and Japanese breakfast.

I booked a room online for a whopping 3000+ but ended up paying 45,000 yen at checkout - talk about a shock. The hotel itself was in a great location, but the price discrepancy was a major turn-off. The room was small but spotless, and the staff were friendly and helpful, but it wasn't enough to make up for the outrageous price hike. Overall, it was a disappointing experience that left a bad taste in my mouth.
