We loved our stay at Ahu Bay; the attention to detail was incredible, a real 5*, but the food could have been better, it felt quite westernised and a bit expensive for what it was.

Ahu Bay in Ahungalla offers a private beach area and direct beachfront access, complemented by an infinity swimming pool, sun terrace, and lush gardens. Comfortable rooms feature air-conditioning, private bathrooms, sea views, and modern amenities, including family rooms and balconies. A modern restaurant serves diverse breakfast options and offers lunch, dinner, and high tea. Nearby attractions include Ahungalla Beach and Bentota Railway Station.

The property was excellent, the location fantastic, the food superb, and the staff extremely courteous; special thanks to Miss Thilini and Mr Abhishek for taking great care of us.

A small boutique property with very comfortable rooms and a pool big enough to swim in.

Breakfast, a romantic beach dinner, the pool, the spa and treatments, the room’s beautiful design, the warm welcome and farewell, the privacy, the attentiveness, the top‑class service, the sunsets, and the secluded beach walks and swims with a lifeguard on duty—all were truly exceptional, and it was hard to find anything we didn’t like.
