I was handed a basement room that looked straight out of a horror film—absolutely filthy. When I asked the host to clean it, he chose to cancel the booking instead of tidying up. I got my money back, but left with emotional baggage, luggage to carry, and the uncertainty of finding a new place.

The room was big and the location was good. However, it was a miserable space with dirty windows, doors that wouldn’t close, peeling paint, a broken shower, moldy paint, and old furniture that creaked.

The reception ladies were very friendly, kind, and helpful. The location is close to the beach (about 8‑10 minutes), the train station, and the Eforie Sud bus stop (5 minutes), and there are two nearby shops for essentials. The mattress was comfortable, hot water was always available, reception was open 24/7, and there was a fridge in the room. The cleaning was poor, with spider webs in both the room and bathroom, a dirty toilet with an unpleasant smell, and other sanitary items in the same state. The air conditioner didn’t work; instead, a foot‑fan was provided, which couldn’t cope with the heat.
