The morning buffet was solid – decent coffee and pastries – but the bathroom left a lot to be desired. It’s tiny, there’s no power point for a hair dryer, the flush kept sticking, and the minibar was an ancient unit that wouldn’t even shut properly.

Everything was organized better than I expected, and the a‑la‑carte restaurant served up tasty dishes; the breakfast spread was also impressive, making the whole stay feel well‑run.

The hotel’s location is spot‑on and the steak dinner was fantastic – definitely worth recommending – but the rooms feel neglected, with dated furnishings and a clear need for a refresh.

The place was filthy: the beds smelled of urine, only one outlet in the room, stained sheets, and old pillows; the bathroom stall reeked, the minibar was a useless rag, and the whole vibe felt like a roadside dump. The only redeeming thing was the two front‑desk staff, who were genuinely courteous.
