Hettie was very accommodating, and even though the venue felt rustic, it had every facility needed to stay happy and comfortable in the Midlands. In terms of value for money, you’ll struggle to find something better; you could find a fancier place, but for me value beats fanciness. The only real downside is some of the roads leading up to the venue—there are bad potholes, gravel, and not many paved roads. It’s not the venue’s fault, but it’s worth mentioning. If you drive carefully and slowly, you can navigate without much trouble, though night‑time driving makes it a bit harder.

“Feel at home”

Despite some initial reservations about the hotel's old-school design, I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort of my bed and the spacious room. The gas cooker and kitchenware were also a nice touch, and I felt right at home after a long travel. However, my experience was slightly marred by the poor condition of the road leading to the hotel, which was peppered with potholes. Overall, my stay was a pleasant one, but the road conditions were a minor annoyance.
