Nothing good; the food was bad, only microwaved, the bar selection was a disaster even though Shakawe has great shopping, stray dogs from the village were on the table, and there was no room service even though I booked the best category.

The site by the Okavango River offered spectacular views both ways, with front‑bungalow terraces and seating for two overlooking the water, a nice, spacious décor, good breakfast and an evening menu ranging from okay to good, plus friendly staff and interesting excursions like the 4 pm boat trip; the grounds were pleasant, the pool was a bit dirty but the loungers were comfortable, and the nightly fire pit brought guests together. However, we had booked a standard room and only one photo matched the actual room; the rest showed deluxe rooms, and the standard we received was dreadful—just one chair for two, a tiny, minimally furnished hut with no veranda, tucked away at the back, feeling bleak and unloved.

The location on the Okavango River shore was excellent, breakfast was very good, the staff were very friendly, and the morning boat trip was exciting; nothing negative.
