Hostal Casa Grande

The staff were very nice, and the included breakfast was fantastic for the price. The location was relatively close to Parque Carolina, C.C. Plaza de Las Américas, about 2 blocks away. I didn’t like my room; I had imagined booking a better one with a window that didn’t just face a hallway, with the noise of people passing by, but I think they were full and gave me what was left. Also the LG LCD in the room turned on but the colors were no longer good and there were only national channels; a large mirror in the lower corner was broken, and the bathroom door barely closed. The bathroom was quite small but useful; after showering water would drip from the edges of the shower floor. The bed was very noisy, as if it was breaking. And sometimes you had to wait a long time to find a seat at breakfast, because external people also came to serve themselves. I just share my view so they can fix small things.

“Buena y mala a la vez!”

The breakfast and the staff’s attention were good. Water came in with the rain. On the first night we had no hot water and had to wait more than an hour to shower. The manager said the heater didn’t supply enough for all rooms, so they had to turn on an auxiliary one. Hot water is one of the most important things in a mountain hotel; when it fails, the body notices and feels discomfort. In another matter, my wife called me for an emergency, an employee told her they would inform me, but they didn’t. I was in the dining room, and my wife told the employee.
