“Great value and more local vibe”

The spot is great—far from the crowded part of 5th Ave, close to a nice beach (72), and there are solid food options like Crisol for breakfast or lunch and Tropical Tacos in the evening; the pool and roof terrace are also nice. A lively Sunday market on 10th near the hotel and surrounding streets adds to the vibe. I’ve stayed here several times.

“A Toxic Culture of Hostility”

The hotel’s location might have been passable, but the service, staff, and amenities were utterly disappointing. From check‑in to check‑out it was a nightmare: the front desk immediately argued that we booked a king instead of our double, took our bags, and after an hour claimed the room was already booked by someone else, forcing us to scramble for the room we paid for. The staff were confrontational and lacked basic manners. The “breakfast included” promise was a bait‑and‑switch; we received stale, soggy bread, plain milk, and a jammed Nespresso machine, and had to pay an extra 750 pesos for anything like basic chilaquiles. Management was no better, constantly arguing instead of solving problems, creating a deeply hostile environment.

The spot is great, just a short walk to gorgeous beaches, and the cleaning crew did a solid job while the staff were friendly. The room was tidy, the pool was spot‑on, and the view was nice; the big bed and minibar were a plus, and the air‑conditioning worked perfectly.

This beach hotel is stunning, and the staff are very attentive and pleasant. The only downside is the location.
