The place sits right in the city center, the host was amazing and super helpful, the apartment is large and very clean. The downtown noise at night makes it hard to sleep, the closed bedroom is quieter but still not perfect, and the bed in the living room is super noisy.

“Nicht nochmal!”

The included parking and the thorough and extensive provision of all information (garage, washing machine, air‑conditioning…) were good, and the response to requests was always prompt and friendly. But everything else was terrible. 1. Noise: the noise was unbearable. I stayed nine nights there and there was no evening or night without a party directly under the apartment and around. The Gslamp Quarter is known as a party mile, but I didn’t expect the apartment windows to be just decorative and not functional. I never slept well, even with earplugs that were already available at the entrance. 2. Cleanliness: the whole house, even the entrance, has an incredible stench that drifts into the apartment. It’s also dusty throughout. With a house‑dust mite allergy, you should never stay here. The towels sometimes smelled and had bleach stains. 3. Equipment: the apartment is large and seems to have everything at first glance – space for six adults, a cozy couch and dining table. But in detail: all furniture except 2‑3 small replaced pieces is extremely worn, broken, and disgusting. The dining table is only pretty because it’s covered with scorch marks and broken parts, each scorch mark has a placemat on it. The couch is dusty and sagging so badly that you hit the floor as soon as you sit. The beds are a disaster. Some frames don’t fit the mattresses. The blankets are synthetic day‑covers on a linen, static‑charged and neither warm (it can get cold at night, as the windows don’t seal) nor cozy. The kitchen is a huge disaster. The dishwasher doesn’t work, the equipment is very sparse and minimal. Besides pepper, salt, coffee filters and cream, there was nothing.

The dining room is big, there are multiple beds, and the location is good. Disco music late at night, but closing windows and the bedroom door helps reduce the noise.
