The view and location are great. The building sits on the edge of the Sancerre village, very accessible by car and within walking distance of the village centre. The pool is nice, although it got pretty crowded even though it wasn’t summer. The rooms are small, with small windows, and feel a bit basic—more like a 3‑star chain hotel—despite being a 4‑star property with unique design. There is no fridge in the room and the bathroom is basic. The breakfast, priced at 18 euros per person, was underwhelming, with bad, basic coffee but decent food. There was also major construction (hotel expansion—would be nice to know), and that definitely did not help the otherwise great landscape.

The location, the view of the valley below, and the town are magnificent. Breakfast was good as well. Leaving was a bit of a hassle.
