The host was friendly and helpful, but getting to the hotel is impossible by car, the room and pool lose light after dark, and construction next door will continue for months.
Kadek proved to be an outstanding host, guiding me through Ubud, recommending activities, and even inviting me to a local cremation ceremony that left a lasting impression; the rooms were clean and roomy, breakfast tasty, and the pool pristine; since cars can’t reach the hotel, Kadek kindly transported me by motorbike, making everything smooth; I had a fantastic stay and would definitely return to Ubud.

The villas sit down a charming lane that was a joy to stroll—no traffic, plenty of small cafés and massage spots—and at the lane’s end a taxi stand and one of Bali’s best yoga shalas; the villas themselves were clean, quiet, and the pool superb; walking 2 km from the villa to Ubud’s main street and the Campuhan walk was ideal. However, you’ll need to wander about 800 m through the lanes before reaching the road unless you opt for a gochek scooter, but the walk was pleasant and not a problem for us.
