Social Hostel

The location is great, and there’s a café next door (I think it’s theirs) that had bad service only on the first day; the rest of the time it was fine and we liked the food. The room had a strong musty smell, especially in the curtains, bedding, and for allergic people this is a major issue.

The only positive is the good location. In reality, they give you nothing—no bath soap, towels are extra even if you’re a guest. They cram many people into one room and it’s extremely uncomfortable.

“Descanso y Relax.”

I made my own breakfast using the well‑equipped shared kitchen. The spot is very convenient for me because it’s two blocks from Copacabana beach and two blocks from Ipanema beach. It’s a quiet place surrounded by restaurants and markets for all kinds of shopping. The terrace has an indoor kitchen with tables and also an outdoor area under a transparent roof where a lot of air flows but the sun still feels.

“Bien”

Las camas, al estar armadas como cápsulas de yeso te permiten tener privacidad dentro de una habitación compartida. La habitación era para 6 personas, con lo cual el baño dentro de la habitación no se lograba mantener en orden, principalmente porque le habían puesto una cortina en lugar de la mampara, y no tenías lugar para colocar dentro de la ducha los artículos de aseo, con lo que terminaba el baño empapado

The location is excellent. The cleanliness is lacking, the staff are grumpy, and the facilities are pretty average. It feels like the place is being neglected.
