The house is in a great position to reach Palermo’s historic centre and is a 15‑minute walk from the university, making it a strategic point also for academic trips. The house has all the kitchen comforts for the essentials and in the bathroom. The wide veranda and the spacious bathroom with a sensory shower impress. The apartment is gorgeous and just a stone’s throw from the city centre, making it perfect for a family trip; Valentina is always ready with tips on what to see and how to get around, and we were truly blown away.

Maison Ferba is wonderful—nice, comfortable, and clean. The bathroom is spacious, the two double beds are ideal for a family of four, and the air conditioning saved us from July’s scorching Palermo heat. Valentina, the owner, was a delight, letting us drop off our luggage early in the morning and rushing us in before the scheduled check‑in time because we were exhausted after a midnight ferry from Naples. The hostel is near the historic centre and all attractions. The only drawback is the neighbourhood, which is very dirty, though we didn’t feel unsafe or encounter any problems during our stay.

It was roomy enough for four people, and Valentina was incredibly friendly and a stellar host; the only downside is that it’s very close to the city centre, which feels unsafe to walk around at any time of day.
