Located in northern Guatemala's Petén Jungle, on the shores of Lake Petén, Hotel Camino Real Tikal offers easy access to the Mayan Ruins of Tikal National Park. The facilities and the beach are nice, but the food was lacking; they didn’t offer a à la carte breakfast because they said there were too many people, which is unacceptable for a 5‑star hotel.

Everything was super; the only downside was the bread served at the restaurant.
