My friend and I stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it; it was peaceful and far from all the noisy partying, so I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

The Pondok Bali Cottage sits north in the Kintamani Region above Danau Batur crater lake. It’s a charming cluster of small houses arranged around a beautiful garden with a small pool. My hut had a high roof shaped like a gothic arch with wooden shingles on top. The room was a good size and featured a huge comfortable bed with a mosquito net. The bathroom had a washbasin, toilet, and a spacious shower with good water pressure and temperature. Everything was clean and in good condition. Breakfast was served outside by the pool under a large roof. The team was very friendly and helpful. For visiting attractions such as the Mount Batur sunrise, black lava fields, temples, jeep rides, or trekking tours, this is a great base camp. Having a scooter or car will help you be mobile and independent. I stayed five days and was very happy with Pondok Bali Cottage. Highly recommended!

“Amazing. Such a beautiful room and for the price? My gosh it’s incredible. Super duper staff.”

The staff were amazing, always ready to help with anything you asked. The only downside was that a few maintenance items needed attention, but I trust they'll take care of it soon.

Nothing positive. The staff forced us to join their Mont Batur climbing activity and wouldn’t let us leave the accommodation if we booked an external service, even though that wasn’t mentioned when we booked.
