Located in Thomas County, south of Interstate 70, the Quality Inn & Suites Colby hotel offers a prime location adjacent to the Oasis Travel Center shopping and dining area, including Starbucks Coffee. Nearby attractions include the Prairie Museum of Art and History, Colby Community College, and the Thomas County Speedway.

The place was spotless and the bed was absolutely wonderful.

The staff were friendly, but the carpeting in the rooms was pretty disgusting. In the first room I found fleas, so they moved me to another room that wasn't infested, yet the carpet there hadn’t been vacuumed and had bits of food on the floor.

The hotel feels pretty typical for its price range, but there were no hot chocolate packets available. The attached restaurant serves an exceptional Chicken Fried Steak. The building is old and lacks many conveniences most people expect: there were no USB charging stations, and electrical outlet access was very limited. The single lamp that did have two outlets at its base was controlled by a switch just inside the door, so when I turned off the light at bedtime it also cut power to the outlets and none of my devices charged. The shampoo, hand soap, body wash, and hand cream were all very low quality.
