The hotel is conveniently close to the station and the staff are friendly, while the rates are low and it works well as a business hotel; however, there are no amenities aimed at women (they might be available if you ask) and although the bath and other facilities look clean, they feel a bit dated.

It was supposed to be a non‑smoking room, but the smell of tobacco was noticeable.

The station was close and the place felt clean, but compared to other hotels it was just standard.

Even though I arrived unexpectedly, the front‑desk staff treated me politely, but the old building seemed to let a faint tobacco smell into my supposedly non‑smoking room and, despite being straight‑line close to the station, the need to circle the front‑of‑house roundabout made it feel far away.
