The location was convenient with tube access and the soundproofing worked well enough that the pub’s noise didn’t disturb our sleep. However, half of the lights in the room were broken, and a bathroom bin would have been a nice addition.

It’s very close to Ravenscourt Park station and my high‑school reunion spot, just 300 yards away, plus King Street, downtown Hammersmith, the Thames, pubs and restaurants are all nearby, and there’s almost no train noise. Buses to Acton and Shepherd’s Bush run right by the hotel. The downstairs pub offers a 10% discount on resident purchases, and the Halloween decorations are already up and detailed. The only downside is that you have to climb an outside iron staircase to the upper floor—no elevator. There’s no air conditioning, but that didn’t bother me this time. Because the hotel sits over a pub, music and bustle continue until 11 pm, which could be annoying for some. Dalling Road is a busy street, so road noise is present from 6 am to 12 am.

The place was spotless, the staff were welcoming, and it was just minutes from the District line. I had to leave, though.
