“relaxed and enjoyable would stay again”
I stayed in a front‑facing room above the entrance that was quiet and comfortable. I didn’t use the bar or restaurant, even though the menu looked tempting—maybe next time.
The location was great and the staff were pleasant. It was so hot that it was uncomfortable; a small fan was provided but it was airless and didn’t help much.
The location is central. Parking is limited.

The hotel let us know a few days ahead that there was no lift. The staff were friendly and professional, and breakfast was good. The location is unbeatable—a short walk to the Clifton Club, where we attended a colleague’s wedding, and to the Suspension Bridge, where we watched the Bristol Balloon Fiesta. The hotel also offers convenient transport: the No. 8 bus to the city centre and Temple Meads stops right outside.
