The room was beautiful and the breakfast excellent. When I returned at 10:30 p.m., everything was shut, but the proprietor had warned me about out‑of‑hours arrangements.

It was a nice, comfortable, authentic inn with a pub and a pretty restaurant. A field with ponies next door and sheep behind it added charm. The room was very clean, well maintained, and fully equipped. Breakfast was decent, and the restaurant served generous portions at a good price. We didn’t see the host much because he was busy at the bar, but every interaction was comfortable and friendly. The only issue was that the restaurant could have used more serving staff; it was quite busy for its size.

Even though it’s a pub, the food felt like a high‑quality restaurant. The room was very comfortable and the manager and staff were helpful.
