An atypical house in a green setting (a bit too much elsewhere), calm and relaxing, in a lovely mountain village. A welcoming hostess who is very generous. It’s a pity the communication is limited by the language barrier.

“Ein unglaublich schöner, erholsamer Urlaub in einer tollen Unterkunft!”

The house was very cozy and the garden beautiful. The hostess is very warm and hospitable. When I arrived, she greeted me with fresh fruit and vegetables from her garden and was available throughout my stay. That made me feel right at home immediately. The location on the edge of Soajo is ideal. The village is small but has everything you need: a tiny supermarket, some nice cafés and restaurants, and of course the stunning nature. There are great bathing spots on the river and many hiking trails. I had a few truly relaxing days and would definitely come back!

“Muito boa”

A D Amelia is a sweetheart, I loved her. From the moment we arrived we had a fantastic orange cake made by her. Every morning we had fresh bread at the breakfast door. When we got home we always had a little treat or a basket of fruit and vegetables, homemade eggs, and even nuts. The house’s location is excellent for resting and exploring the whole area. I highly recommend it and we’ll definitely return.

“Autentické ubytování s krásnou zahradou a milou hostitelkou.”

Great starting location, atmosphere, and authenticity of the place. Beautiful garden. Friendly host. Maybe a bit too many items, blankets, throws, rugs, and pillows, which I don’t think is suitable when switching guests.

“We loved it!”

Surrounded by nature and greenery, you open the window and see nothing but nature and hear the roosters in the morning :) The kitchen is very well equipped, and you can eat both inside and outside. The apartment has a lot of charm overall, and our kids loved it too. The little space in front of the door is perfect for a glass of wine outdoors before or after dinner. The location is less than a 5‑minute walk from Soajo where you find restaurants, bars, ATM, etc., and where many beautiful paths start. It’s also less than an hour’s drive from main spots in the area like Mata de Albergaria, Ponte do Lima, and the giant seesaw. The owner, Amélia, is super nice and willing to help if you need something; she baked a cake for us that was so big we didn’t finish it in a 4‑day stay! I liked everything and would come back here if I visit Peneda Gerês again.
